We all know that life usually doesn't follow the path WE plan for, whether it’s something of simplicity or major in life. While many aspects are out of our control, some things are within the realm of learning curves. This can especially be true when starting a new business, even with extensive planning and research. Expression in Motion wasn’t born with photography in mind at all, but as solely providing onsite and on demand personalization. We were dependent on clients providing their own photographs whether it was uploading them from their cell phone pictures or their saved pictures from social media. While this option is still available it doesn't always provide the best quality to apply to the items wanted.
We were often asked if we provided photography as well, and we always had to respond that we did not. That’s when we started linking up with local photographers for onsite availability, but this brought on its own difficulties due to the timing needed for on the spot editing. Our whole premise is providing quality personalization items onsite vs having to order. While we welcome the opportunity to work with other photographers for orders, the best way to accomplish our onsite needs is to use our own talent, providing high resolution quality photography! While onsite, Jeff is the main graphic designer doing sales and production and I’m on the fields capturing the moments as they occur. Additional photographers are brought on as needed depending on the size of the events. Most weekends it’s a family effort with one or multiple boys helping out in a variety of ways. While most of the time this brings on added fun and much appreciated help, there’s always moments of conflict here and there, but it sure wouldn't be the same without them involved and I love them included.
Family is extremely important to remember which is why Easter weekend remained family focused as well as this upcoming weekend with the start of Dawson and Jacob’s Dixie baseball tournament weekend in Harleton, TX this evening. We’ll be our rooting on the Legends! Have a wonderful weekend everyone! Please send me any questions or comments. I love feedback!
